I wanted to know what I can do if my WP has been cancelled when I was away from the country? It's manually not possible for me to cancel the visa extension as I wasnt there. Or do you think I can use my old visa (which seems to be valid as I have not cancelled it yet) and just enter Thailand, take my luggage, and be back in a week? Will it be wrong? Don't they get notified if my WP has been cancelled or not?

I had no idea there is a e-VOA. I am surely going to check this out.

Yes I understand the process of cancelling the extension but I could have done it only if I was present in Thailand physically, as I was not present in Thailand physically when my Work Permit got cancelled, I could not even cancel the extension.

But to my knowledge, when the school cancels the work permit, doesn't the extension become invalid on the same day?

The extension of visa is valid until 20th of May, 2020

alright, but my passport will have the extension visa on it that looks to be valid. Wont it be a problem if I am applying for VOA? Like if the officer asks why applying for VOA when you have a valid visa, then?

thanks for your valuable input. I was away from the country when my Work Permit got cancelled. And now when I am trying to enter the country, what step should I be taking then? I am not coming there to get another job, I am coming there to get my luggage back.

as the school has not submitted me any letter, they just have submitted my work permit to the labor department, so I have to wait for that, right? It's strange.

thanks for your patience. I didnt even know this. I kept thinking that my Visa is getting renewed as I have a Visa number as well.

I have been working with the school since 2015 and every year during May, school renews my visa/stay and the stay was extended on this May also and I got this one stamped on my passport.
