why? Some people are simply adventurous. Some folks are traveling the world and are willing to roll with the punches. Perhaps they don’t have a lot of time to research when going from one place to the next. No one is asking some of the above questions, but some questions that someone who takes one trip a year and researches for months might think are stupid are not for someone who visits numerous countries in a year.

thank you so much. I’m getting very close (hopefully early-mid 2023) and I’ve been a bit overwhelmed with the process, especially concerned with the people who say their landlords will not give the the TM-30. Also, the whole…can’t get a bank account until one has a permanent visa but need a permanent visa to get a bank account, lol. Thanks for the clarification.

How would someone have a resident certificate if they are still on a tourist visa? I'm very confused by the process.

I'm not the one who made the error, but yeah...I take umbrage with anyone being called out for making honest, understandable mistakes. I'm tired of the abuse on this group. Is it really that difficult to treat others with respect?

whether logical or illogical, that’s standard date format in the States. If one is accustomed to that format, that’s how they would read the date. THAT is logical. I’m not sure what value there is in calling someone out for misunderstanding, although I know this group is full of people who love to make others feel like crap for their own amusement. I believe there’s a word for that.

fortunately, some of us would never want to be called “normal”, but I’d have to agree about the dates. It is rather frustrating that we are accustomed to a different representation than others. It makes life more complicated.
