you're totally missing the pointπ it's not about the courses, for either side. It's a mid range long term visa designed to retain mid range spenders. The courses are thrown in as an option to be eligible IMO and to also boost Thai soft powers
They don't want long term freelancers and nomads to go to Vietnam or Bali for example due to Thai immigration being too complicated. Many already left due to visa complications and expenses.
That's why I think it's come out. Just my opinion but it makes sense.
it makes perfect sense. IMO, Thailand wants to keep long term nomads etc and make it easier to stay rather than lose them to other countries as numbers are dropping off. It has less to do with courses and more with long term spending potential
6 month courses are valid and regularly accepted for DTV. It's the minimum requirement.
There's no 5 year course for muay Thai or cooking for example... And nobody will pay upfront for 5 years of classes. Unless it's university but this visa isn't designed for university
