I you work in Thailand; your company or school will give you work permit to extend your visa. No work permit, no extension.

Grab Food always find their way. Because usually they are just nearby the areas and they know where your hotel. while Grab from the airport is not familiar with the place.

Immigration in some Thai-Myanmar borders provide border passes in lieu of passports for the locals living by the borders of both countries. I just don't know if it is the same with Malaysian borders.
