60 days extension doesn't mean its only if married to a thai. Its Thai family extension. Can also be for a legal kid. Its about any legal relationship to a Thai.

Most immigrations accept 30 days in advance. Some such as Bangkok, Phuket and Chiang Mai accept 45 days. Some such as Pattays its a week. Check at your local immigration or ask people there.
