Hello I work at a traveling agency, we have a Mexican couple traveling from late November to early December, I've been reading that Thailand will be asking for an ETA in December but can't find anywhere to apply... Any suggestions?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion clarifies that there is currently no Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) requirement for travelers to Thailand, despite initial proposals. The ETA program is in a suspended state, particularly regarding the pilot program initially intended for Australian citizens. Therefore, travelers, including the Mexican couple mentioned, do not need to worry about applying for an ETA at this time.

Can‘t travel agencies contact TAT Authorities directly?

The ETA program was proposed but not formally activated. Your travelers do not need to worry about it at this time.

And it was just supposed to be a six months pilot program for Australian citizens in the first place.

No. Only a Australian newspaper wrote about it. But also mentioning other countries in the list. The headline of that news item was misleading. Saying its about Australia.

As Chris states it was supposed to be a pilot program for Australia for six months first and after include all the countries entitled to visa exemption. But it’s delayed.

yes it was

Supposed to be a pilot program with Australia starting IN December and full rollout in June '25 for everybody.

It has since been indefinitely delayed.

I know its a pilot. But not only with Australia. The news item was from a Australien news agency and mainly mentioned the impact for Australians.

I don't think you know what use of the term ETA they are referring to. It doesn't mean estimated time of arrival in this case.

There is no ETA and there is no date when there might be one. Everything is on hold as typical for Thailand governmental policies.
