Yes from the looks of it, that’s what they’re trying to do. Perhaps to discourage the number of people like us who flew in to apply for the dtv there? Might be a surge in applications this month and they’re working to cool things down…who knows…
You only need ACRA document if you're applying at the Thai embassy in Singapore and are employed by a Singapore company. If you apply in VN check the requirements for it at their embassy website.
I get what you're saying but it's not *quite* precise - you could be on a DTV and travel a lot (leave Thailand every couple of months, let's say) and you'd still have the same number of stamps in your passport. Just that they won't stop you because you're "legit" on a DTV.
Anonymous participant For HCMC I think it's a safer bet to put the cash in savings account and wait for at least 3 months. If your trading account is a bank account in the same bank as your savings account maybe they'll accept it? I really can't say for sure, sadly.
