Laos is not the quickest out of those 3 countries, on average the slowest. Indonesia and Vietnam are quicker.

You can not continue the application process elsewhere or attend another embassy for an interview. Try to reschedule the interview to a later date or explain what happened, cancel your application and apply in Indonesia.

You could just submit the translated bank statements, like many do or submit both. I did both cos Taipei would not accept the balance certificate by itself.
