Oh gosh ... I know that feeling. We always take the skytrain/express train, and we pick a hotel near BTS. We have been to Bangkok so many times now, we are experts at timing and anal about time :)
Edward ... you must be very lucky. When we went for our first checkin at Nakhon Si Thammarat, they fined us for not having done a TM30 within 24 hours. Additionally, they make us renew it every year.
Got it. Currently, our plan is to have the following ...
1. Certified letter confirming our pension amount from the company
2. Bank certification of our deposits (might be an issue because my husband's name is not on the account)
3. Bank statements for the past year
4. Income affidavit from the embassy.
We will see if we can renew without the affidavit, and if not, then provide it then. Our immigration office is Nakhon Si Thammarat. It's very Thai. Not touristy.
