My husband and I are on a non immigrant O "retirement" visa. We are traveling to the Philippines in March and will need a re entry permit. Can we purchase this at DMK or BKK airport? (not sure which airport we will leave from yet).

Our local immigration office is 1.5 hours from where we live, so the airport would be a whole lot easier.

Thank you!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post inquired about purchasing a re-entry permit for a non-immigrant O retirement visa at DMK or BKK airports. Comments confirmed that both airports have re-entry permit counters available 24/7, with specific locations noted for each airport.

The re-entry permit counter at Don Mueang is just behind of passport control counters BEFORE you go security screening

The re-entry permit counter at Suvarnabhumi is AFTER you got thru security screening in Departure 2 .

. What kind of visa do you have or is it the Extension of Stay you got from the Immigration Office?

There is a photo place in the airport? We are currently out of photos.

Ray Mac @ Subharnabhumi you go up the escalator and its at the left side. There's a booth. Easy find.

Take your own photo to save 200 baht. The digital photo service by immigration is 200 baht of the 1200 baht fee. Costs 1000 if you bring your own photo and glue it on the page instead. A saving of 400 baht for two people.

in BKK you say just before immigration check points , is that at the top of the elevator somewhere? or do you come down the elevator and there is an office somewhere? just asking as I have never seen exactly where it is and will need to do the same for the first time soon, thanks

It is mentioned several times on this page, as I remember just after Immigration checkpoint at DMK, so tell them before they stamp you out you need the re-entry permit first. At Suvarnibhumi just before Immigration check points.

.. one more thing. Do you happen to know where the counters are? Finding things in Thailand can be challenging as you know.

Oh gosh ... I know that feeling. We always take the skytrain/express train, and we pick a hotel near BTS. We have been to Bangkok so many times now, we are experts at timing and anal about time :)

4.5 hours is ridiculous though!
Robert *******
I would take some extra time, never know how busy it is. Just read on another page that the ride to the airport normally takes 1,5 hours became 4,5 hours and they nearly missed the plane.

Should we allow extra time? If so, how much?

Extension of stay. It is stamped "retirement".
