Hello All!

My husband & I have been on retirement visa for 6 yrs in Thailand. We recently chose to go back into the workforce with a business to help Thailand. We now have our BOI company approved, & need to leave, go to Embassy, & return.

We also have 2 foreign employees who need to do the same. They were on a few covid extensions though while waiting for the company approval. (COVID slowed the process down tremendously).

Has anyone had issues coming back in with changing over to a business visa (smart visa)?

We would love to know what to potentially expect.

Answer summary

The user and their husband have been on a retirement visa in Thailand for six years and are transitioning to a business visa after getting their BOI company approved. They are inquiring about the potential issues they might face when returning to Thailand with this change and mention having foreign employees who will also undergo a similar transition after receiving COVID extensions.
