Then there are rumors, and I stress - rumors -, of political infighting among the CCP. Many in the party not on Xi's favorite list are trying to get their money, and themselves, out of China.

Also, I have read that Citizens want to leave China now. Because of Politics and the Economy. From Thailand, they can go to other places.

Otherwise, they might take offense. They often Boycott even if they think China has been offended in some way.

Almost all of the Asean countries have better Covid statistics than China an they are all still blocked off.

I think Thai tourists officials will be disappointed as the Chinese economy is hurting badly. They are not likely to come in the same numbers or spend as much money.

Still, it is Thai Tourism's biggest customer.

I think they should broaden their tourists base though.

The written rules are clear (or were before Covid). But they have enforced it anyway they want for the last 2.5 years (that I know about).
