To apply for your TR you need a flight number. You don’t have to have a booking. But just the flight number of the flights you intend to take.

interesting, i just looked on the ottawa consulate website for the tourist visa and they want a round trip ticket confirmation..... funny how each consulate is different

check out the vancouver website. states nothing about having a flight booked. and they didn't require it when i dropped off the application. Maybe mailing it in is different.

that is not true. When I dropped of my Visa application in Vancouver, I gave my flight confirmation (it was pre booked by my husbands company), but the Consulate said they don't need it, they just need a flight number that you intend to use. IE. find a flight and ask for the flight number. You only need to book the flight when applying for the COE!

This was for a Tourist Visa for 60 days BTW

I applied for the tourist visa so it’s a maximum stay of 90 days.

But yes if you apply for another visa that has a kinder duration I’d say to be safe get insurance for the duration of your visa.

In my case I don’t need longer coverage

Any insurance company as long as it states $100,000USD. I used Luma insurance. 8000thb for 90 days.
