That is different than travel insurance which is usually a max of 6 months

because it’s a glorified tourist visa. Thai companies like AIA, Muang Thai Life, Prudential etc. only sell to long term residents.

Even banks are not recognizing the DTV as anything more than a tourist visa. We are hoping this will change next year, buts it’s too early to tell.

My wife is a senior agent with AIA and AXA Thailand among others.

Currently AIA will not support the DTV visa.

However AXA Thailand will quite easily.
