my understanding is that this group is to ask for guidance from people who have went through similar situations that you are currently dealing with. When you get caustic condescending responses (like above) just block that user. That's what I do. In doing so you will slowly weed out the d*ck-heads and no longer be forced interact with them. Good luck with your quest for answers. 👍

agreed, especially condos. They are notorious for doubling the cost of electricity and inflating the price of water as well.

UPDATE: I just watched Tim Newton Today (TNT) news out of Phuket on YouTube. He says that the current government electricity rate has be 5.25 Baht per unit since January (which doesn't sound correct to me) and that it's scheduled to drop to 4.77 Baht on May 1st. This contradicts what I posted above and what I read in the news a couple of weeks ago. So, I guess we will find out what the truth is when we get our bills.

I read in the news a couple of weeks ago that May 1st the price is supposed to rise again. You should go check your meter against your bill and make sure they didn't make a mistake.

I use the Currency Plus app. You can compare up to 8 world currencies in real time, for free.

I used British Law on 3rd road near Pattaya City Hospital. I believe the fee was 500฿ but that was 5 years ago.

I use Chonburi immigration also and there is no need for an embassy letter from my home country (USA) However, I have heard rumors that some embassies still provide income certification letters. I don't know how true this is.

about 5 years ago several embassies stopped doing letters (including mine.) I have always utilized the 800K deposit because of convenience and I'll probably just keep doing it for that very reason.

I was under the impression that the non O (acquired in country) was basically the same as the non OA (acquired in your home country) and that the Non O was just a synonym for the 12 month extension of stay. This shite is confusing AF! Thank you very much for the clarification.
