Your country would be the best option U can apply now and get your dtv in a month so that you don't need to go to a 3rd country, spend money on flights and accomodations and not being sure when your visa gets approved. There are cases that even in countries nearby it has taken about a month to get the dtv. (if you apply in france then the embassy will likely accept some documents in your language while if you apply abroad u need everything to be in thai/english)
If you apply in Tokyo or KL then it could be true, elsewhere 6 months are considered enough and some even got it with just 3 months (even tho I wouldn't recommend it)
that website is famous for changing randomly things when you reload the page or when you click back or whatever. It's really possible that you check normal passport but then you reloaded or went back to check it again leading it to move to another type of passport. As the other folks said, the best is always to keep a screenshot but even with that, it won't change anything cuz the application will never get refunded.
get that statement and use chatgpt/google translate to make an extra translated copy. you can highlight the dates and the last balance. Scan both copies (original and translated one) and put them in a pdf. It worked for me
Every embassy is different when it comes to this topic, I read of 500k being accepted for a whole family of 4ppl while others got asked to show 500k for each member. Some require the money to be seasoned for over

months while others are ok if u put the whole amount a day earlier. You should mention the embassy you are going to apply at or even better, you should call/mail to check what their requirements are
