, yes, and avoiding a lady at the counter worked also with my old passport. They didn't actually mention my overstay, but every time when bouncing out and in (on my multiple Non-O) the lady at the counter was convinced that I had a new overstay even though the stamp said differently. When asking how possible to do an overstay when the stamp said differently, they always said it was my problem if the stamp was wrong. I learned to avoid ladies in uniform 🙂
, only if your story is spooky (or you look spooky) 🙂 Many of us have long histories in Thailand without a problem. I had one day overstay 15 years ago giving me issues every time a lady was at the counter, until I actually got a new passport 🙂
, yes, the primary registration happens at the hospital. But you will get the birth certificate at the Amphur office. Basically, I think most countries are like that today. In the past, it was the Church in many countries. You have to be aware that a birth certificate actually has several important pieces of information. Place and time of birth, name of the mother, name of the father, and not least the name of the new citizen. Especially for the naming, the Church was a major player in the past.
, then why are you asking for a Thai Birth Certificate that she obviously cannot get as such. She can get her British Birth Certificate legalized and registered in Thailand, if this is needed?
