You could try looking at the Lumpini Condos. I think there are around 13 sites in Bangkok. You might get a 3 month let from someone who is out of Bangkok for an extended period. It’s worth a try. Look on the notice boards near reception.
There is a train from Bangkok to Pattaya but you need to get to Bangkok first. Bangkok airport Suvsnabhumi isn’t in Bangkok it’s in Samut Prakhan another province.
Taxi or bus is your best bet. Insist on a meter though and if you use private don’t pay more than 1200 baht including toll fees. Enjoy your holiday.
It sounds like you should start with an Australian lawyer to investigate the will and whether it’s terms have been complied with. Was there a later will made in Thailand?
I have had this discussion before. You are allowed to help and advise your wife in her business but not actually work. Degree of help allowed is based on inspecting officers decision.
the business doesn’t actually have to pay the 60k a month to you but it must pay the tax and social security on 60k a month to the government. That would be (after allowances) about 5k a month.
Years ago I had the same with Bangkok Bank. Paid 4300 baht for insurance. A few days later I tripped in the street on the pavement. I broke a tooth and grazed and bruised other bits. Was all covered by the insurance no questions asked. I think the tooth replacement alone was 35k. So maybe it’s worth having!
