he simply wants to know what his visa options are. Why should he pay $80 to be given the options even before he gets to the fees and charges for the visa. It's a bit condescending to talk down to people who are a bit careful when approaching unknown agents. I guess you're constantly giving big money to strangers in return for nothing?

THE ANSWER IS COME TO THAILAND GET 60 DAYS FREE THEN EXTEND ANOTHER 30 DAYS FOR 1900 BAHT at IMMIGRATION OFFICE. NO AGENT NEEDED AND DEFINITELY DON'T INSULT MEMBERS SEEKING INFORMATION

the subject of the Post (as you seem to have forgotten) is obtaining Baht without using a foreign bank card in an ATM. Maybe ADHD right?

10 or 20 baht is nominal. 220 baht in a country where that's can be daily wage for many is clearly discriminatory.

your understanding is correct. I also use uk cash but for long or ongoing stays that becomes unrealistic. Other low cost option is use of xe app. Can select "cash pick up" method and collect baht converted from GBP debited from uk bank and go collect from Siam Commercial Bank. Bigger amounts than ATM and cost is 100 baht.

i have a nationwide account too but I avoid using it cos Nationwide are not cheap with foreign currency transactions. The "non sterling transaction " fee is Nationwide's mark-up. I drag cash from Nationwide to Starling. Use Starling for foreign transactions free of charge. Very easy on app too. Nationwide will add fees if you paid your hotel in Baht. Starling is free. Use Starling is my advice. Then find a thai bank who provide cash advance without applying ATM fees. Cash advance is not a machine. (Automated telling machine ) . In the past cash advance was free. Certainly I had free cash advances on my barclaycard for three years in philippines.

it's not an ATM it's a cash advance but seems they apply an ATM fee to discourage cash advance requests. Is this done by other Thai banks? The bank i used in philippines did not apply ATM fees to cash advances.

same method only to communicate with issuing bank. The withdrawal in local currency is instantly converted at live exchange rate with ZERO fees and charges. Bank teller doesn't get involved investigating accounts at other banks nope. Same as ATM without the fees! Too complicated to follow?
