absolutely correct. Impossible to bribe for citizenship. I have friends with more money than god and that are close friends with chief of immigration and top military (no names necessary) and even they can’t get citizenship.

many people fulfil the upset requirements but almost everyone still get a rejection. Even those with an inside track like long time close friendship with chief of immigration or police or military. Best of luck though, but you still have a better chance of winning the lottery.

sure if you change to ed visa which was the question. But since I answered that it is possible to change to any kind of visa I added to use an agent. Of course not necessary if you’re a student at a school. My mistake to answer more than was asked for 🙏

You can change to any visa from tourist visa if you fulfill the requirements without leaving the country. There are agents that does this for you if you don’t know how to apply yourself.

I’m changing my tourist visa to a marital visa shortly.

I worked as a real estate agent here in Bkk for 2 years before and it’s unheard of that neither police or immigration would care about that. This is what the deposit is for, to cover electricity/water and last months rent if a customer leaves and not fulfills the contract. Your friend has NOTHING to worry about.

I’ve done the same many times in my 12 years here. Never had any problems. Deposit will be forfeited, that’s all.
