I am from Singapore and did my DTV application when I came back in mid January for the Chinese New Year. The response was fast. 2 days after initial application online, I received an email to submit more information. Another 2 days later, I received they telephone call to explain to me that they need 3 months of complete bank statements plus a screenshot of the bank account balance within the last 3 days. On the 10th day, I received the email with my DTV (there were 2 days of public holidays).

My DTV was for digital nomad. The cost is S$500 or 12,500 baht. Documents requested for were:

1. 3 months bank statements with 50,000 baht or more

2. Letter of appointment or contract from your company + the Company Registration (ROC)

3. Proof of residence in Thailand. Rental lease or the blue book or title deed

4. Proof that you are in the country, I understand you can use your boarding pass but they ask for my ID card too as my residential address is in there.

The return airfare for Bangkok to Singapore is around 5000 baht for budget airlines. Hotel 2000b a night, bed & breakfast 500b.

Hope that the info may be of use to someone wanting to apply for DTV.

You haven’t done your research before applying properly, since then you would know that, The Embassies do NOT give any reason if rejected.

It is very explicit said on the Embassy website.

If applyed from you country of residence, where you have a permanent adress, there would be no additional costs to hotel etc. and you would wait in the comfort of your home, as you are intended to.

Sounds like a mistake in a data field, if they needed clarity on supporting documents they would have asked.

After reading through these chats it sounds like something specific is wrong with your application. You mentioned that you put your residence is Thailand. It should be Cambodia. Where you are applying from is where you should put your current information. It’s a little tricky but I’m seeing that people who get this right get approved

What app are you using to message the embassy and what is their contact on the app?

Same situation here, although I'm still waiting in Cambodia with the "pending approval" status. Heard some people going from "rejected" to "accepted" a bit of time later in this group. Hope it's gonna be alright for you!

Since they requested more documents multiple times (from your previous post), maybe that you missed importing some files regarding your digital nomad status (portfolio, invoices, ...)?

What about processing status?

Pending documents check to reject or

Pending approval to reject?

Normally if status changed to pending approval, many people got approved

Bro Cambodia is cheaper than Thailand. I was in Siem Reap for a few days and hardly spent any money. Not sure about a private room because i was in a hostel for about 6$ a night, but meals cost 1-3$ beer at the bar cost 1$ it was super cheap

The prices in some places in Thailand are getting crazy too. I wanted to visit Koh Phangan after 5 years but it was difficult to find any reasonably-priced accomodation. Even a basic guesthouse where I paid 700THB back then, is 1700 per night now.
