condominium if less then 50% is farang unit owners is exempt. Meaning you can buy freehold. I do own a small one in Phuket that I got during last Thai real estate crash. So what I say is how I financed and how I chose. My wife area is just next to mine and is total crap compared. Same company just a lot of owners not paying the maintenance.
What blanco loan limit you have abroad? I think you can find condo for 1-4 million THB. Just make sure freehold and check it out. Might be best to buy mature estate so you can see how it is kept. Sansiri is okay but some areas depending on owners / FM is not maintained well.
As people say all depend on airlines and the staff. Officially it is not required.
Bit off-topic last year I went to India and used their E-visa which basically is like the US ESTA. However the Air India staff in SG that checked me in started to claim something was wrong... Anyways some other staff helped out after a while.
Just call the local airline office and ask them what is required for checking in. Ease your mind :)
Could you share from where you send and amounts ballpark figure? I have sent THB 20K and couple of 100K with no delays last few months from SG. Last was immediately on 23rd
Honestly if you go with a car or motorbike they will move. This is my experience from the south parts. If that doesn't hold true in BK I don't know. Else try to make friends with local police? Bring fruit to share.
