Leaving and re-entering does require a new TM30 depending on location. He said he is living Chiang Mai and it is 100% required there if you travel and return. My agent does it for me but had to do it twice in May this year.

If living in Chiang Mai do 90 day report there. It is one of the easiest. At airport immigration branch it is a drive thru if in car or on bike. On foot it is a walk up window beside the drive thru. Hand over passport and TM30 although they never seem to look at TM30 paper copy. Just scan passport. Takes a couple of minutes.

Anonymous participant Well just have to be Zen about it and apply the "Let Them Theory". Trying to predict what will happen in Thailand is like trying to ride a unicorn. My old boss was very senior in a large BOI company here. Economically strategic to the economy. He would meet ministers and come away confused lol. Best to just wait and see and Mai Pen Rai.

Anonymous participant 614 90 consecutive days in country you have to do the TM47 ie 90 day report. So, yes if a DTV holder is in country 90 days they need to report.

Anonymous participant 164 If you can login and do it then complete. You will be fine. Even at offices where they ask for a physical copy of the TM30 you just hand over the most recent. You will be fine.

Anonymous participant It is legit to work remotely on a Soft Power DTV. If it was not there would be a lot of people in trouble. If one was to be extremely pedantic I do not think there is anything that says you can. Just as there is nothing that says you cannot. The rules and guidance were a rush job and not well defined.

Anonymous participant As someone else advised. Go soft power. Easier than faffing about.

Anonymous participant I am pretty sure "Startups" have been approved in some Embassies without a trading industry. You would need to search and find out where. Good luck

The AML and need for CRS & KYC is different to the scamming account issue. This was coming to Thailand already when they signed up to it when applying for OECD membership.

You have an O visa and cannot open an account in CM? Where have you tried? Go to Krungsri in Maya Mall. They have a list of requirements. You can open one on a O retirement . Need Res Cert and 2 forms of Photo Id.
