Cost of a B is 1900 and a WP is 3000. If you use an agent they will obviously charge more. I did not go from DTV to a B but from O to B I had to leave country and apply outside. My O had to be cancelled before I could apply for a B. It might be different for a DTV so do not quote me.

90 day resets each time you enter. It is not cumulative.

It seems a bit extreme to travel to another country to avoid 90 days reporting. Even the nightmare of doing it in Bangkok. In Chiang Mai I do not even have to get off my scooter.

You mean new 180 day stamp - the 90 day just resets - there is no stamp.

It is easy at Jomtien. Get the TM30, fill in TM47 form there and hand over to Asmin staff in building forst right as you enter. Usuallt takes 20 minutes or so. They collect the applications in batches at that desk and take through to the Immigratin Officer in batches. They give you a number and when the passports come back they shout out the number. I always went just before 9am and never out later that 9:30

In Jomtien you need to attach the physical TM30 copy. In Chiang Mai he does not look at it and scans passport. It does need to be complete and up to date though. In Jomtien if I travelled and returned to same address no need to update. In Chiang Mai it has to be resubmitted upon return from travel.

The landlord or agent provides you with a copy.

Yes they do not issue but they still extend and do 90 day etc just as with any other Visa. Once you are inside the country it is immigration rules you are bound by not MFA. Keep carrying 2 passport and hope you never lose them.

I thought if it was an actual physical stamp, they would transfer. Pretty sure there was a post on here saying they had it done. It is quite well known Immigration are not the biggest fans of the DTV - they probably just cannot be arsed lol

@Karl ******
Cheers for the answer. They do transfer other visas to new passports with much less periods of validity.
