Sorry to hear. You can only re-apply from another embassy at this point. Make sure to have a cover letter explaining your employment, how it all works and your revenue stream, and then provide evidence of everything you explain, with letters from clients and or colleagues verifying your case, that all your work is done online and no thai clients.
Sorry to hear about this. They should give more clear instructions and also options for times or a later date!
From a bird's eye view, the best thing overall is more difficult to get the DTV, making sure everyone is legit and committed, but then no questions and an easy stamp at the border each time you arrive in Thailand as a DTV holder.
Nice post. 2000 baht is 60 USD, so looks like you had to pay a big surcharge. Best to bring the 45 USD. Thanks on behalf of everyone needing this info.
Yes from Ottawa. I provided a cover letter explaining my work, a letter from a college and clients, bank balance and client payments. They asked for my taxes showing my company name. Approved 2 days later.
No chance. Get a different visa or start a company and get even a minor income for a couple months, then apply. Or just come on a two month tourist visa for starters, since that's what you would be for now.
They don't say it, but all applicants that are approved have a cover letter explaning everything, and then provide evidence. If you are the sole proprietor, you can even write a letter, as the owner of this business, I swear that all activities are done online with no income or customers coming from Thailand whatsoever, and get an affidavit or a barrister to stamp it.
You can try writing a letter, explaining exactly what you do, examples of clients, and how you are paid, and what your plans are. Add any evidence you have to support your explanation. More evidence of residence can be a photo of you dated in the UK, bank statement.
Something official with your company name on is helpful. If you don't have a tax form than maybe an invoice, certificate, etc.
I did Ottawa online for my online work. I have plenty of clients all in Canada so it was easy to show letters from them and payments for the last 6 months coming in from only Canadian sources. It took about a week to be approved. I recommend you get a few months in with regular clients. It doesn't have to be too much income, but has to be clear that you are doing what you say you do. Best of luck.
