Might have another problem elsewhere. Recently Vietnam would not process someone with METV until it expired.

The Embassy has made a decision that the METV is more appropriate. Seen it for medical and some other soft power. Seems to be becoming more common in last moth or so.

We have seen this same thing from a few Embassies ie giving a METV instead of DTV if in their discretion it is more appropriate. It is not a mistake it is deliberate.

There is a recent post about extension application in Phuket on Workaytion. They wanted an update to daye employment letter as the one dated from September 2024 was now out of date. Have a scroll through. There was very good information in the post.

As long as everything aligned then I doubt they will. I see 2 items to align 1) The CRS reporting so where are you tax resident and the TIN or reason for not having one. 2) a single validated mobile device and Sim against your passport. They seem to have gone quiet on number 1 and focus on 2 at the moment
