I opened Bangkok bank account in Nana branch with a certified copy of my passport (got it done at British Embassy) on visa exempt, very easy to do just needed a Thai number, I actually used hotel as my address.

This is limited to a savings acc so you can't use the app but you can you get a master card issued for online transactions.

Yes very easy but DO NOT exchange at airport as the rate is terrible!

Plenty of places in Bangkok with good rates.

the MOFA in BKK isn't the main ministry building, it's a specific building for these requests.

There are usually a group of people offering translation services when you go in on the ground floor.

I have to attest all my docs alot as I work in many countries and process is the same.

Typically needs to be translated and then attested by Thai MOFA in Bangkok and then attested at the US Embassy Bangkok.

yes I was surprised but I can confirm first hand as I was released on 22nd Dec with no further tests, was given my clearance cert and Dr actually came out to shake my hand (all interaction had been via phone in hospital room). Then put in a taxi to airport and home to Krabi

Happened to me in Dec, moved to hospital as per protocol for 10 days.

Cost of hospital bill was 109k which my insurance did not pay (even though they stated they would - Tokio Marine - steer clear)

Fortunately I flew with Emirates who paid bill.

After 10 days of quarantine in hospital you are released.

There are no further tests and you are not required to test negative to leave (you cannot return to hotel either)
