Seeking some advice for a friend, he's Australian and trying to arrange a visit visa for his Thai GF to go to visit Australia.

She works for well known high street pharmacy and she does own some land in tourist area in South.

She was rejected initially and now on second application the agent is saying her salary too low.

Any guidance or advice on how this can be fixed?

Appreciate any pointers

TLDR : Answer Summary
An Australian is seeking advice for his Thai girlfriend's visitor visa application to Australia, after her initial application was rejected due to her low salary. Comments suggest various strategies to strengthen her application, such as having her partner financially sponsor her, including affidavits from both partners and family members, proving her assets and financial stability, and ensuring clarity about their relationship. Emphasis is also placed on preparing necessary documents and possibly providing evidence of her intention to return to Thailand.

Forget the agents. As others have said do it yourself.State clearly your connection. That you are inviting her to join you for a holiday and that you will be

responsible for her while she is in Australia and guarantee her return to Thailand when her visa is up.Good luck. Perseverance shows commitment.

Not her salary to low, it's not enough savings in her bank for the time in Oz.

You should show your money asap guarantee to sponsor her.

Also something particularly useful is one of his mates here in Australia making an affidavit confirming they are aware of their relationship and that they plan or that he plans to bring her for a visit to Australia for a certain period of time and that (the friend writing the affidavit) knows this to be a bona fide relationship and that she will be coming as a genuine tourist/visitor for the purposes of getting formally introduced to his family and that she has no intention of overstaying. The more affidavits and letters of support the stronger her case.

A supporting letter or affidavit from her Australian partner and also from his family confirming she is coming to visit them always helps, especially if they state that they will be financially responsible for her visit to Australia

Agent messed our last application, put contradictory leaving dates, which was one of the reasons stated on refusal letter. That was 6 years ago, just applied again doing it ourselves and could kick myself for using and paying an agent when the process is easy enough todo yourself on line

What's there in Australia besides the Sydney Opera House? I told my Thai gf that there's nothing in America but homeless people. Save yourself some money buddy.

put it in your account and ฿10k "drip-feed"it into her account. It will give home affairs the idea she has regular income from another source. Ask her if she gets any cash income to put it into the bank account too.

this is from the agent and I said the same, she has cash in the bank and has done for a few years. All sounds a nightmare but I said I'd ask around. I've shared the advice, appreciate the support👍🏻

The single most important thing is that she has financial stability / security in her homeland and a solid reason for why she will not stay in Aus. Having kids/ dependent family is a poor reason and can go against the applicant. A letter from an employer, tax submissions (if self employed) proof of assets, land, gold etc can help.

ok. A sponsorship for a tourist Visa is different from an invitation. He needs to submit his bank details not hers. However get him to stick ฿50k into her bank before they as may ask when he submits a new one. Way back a long time ago I spent money on Siam legal to do one.

Get a letter from her partner saying he accepts all financial responsibility for her whilst she is in Australia. See if that helps, I did it that way but it was years ago
