Hi everyone. I would like some advice about the COE that is needed to fly back into Thailand. One of the requirements is to have $100000 worth of insurance medical cover. Could someone explain to me what that means exactly. Is there a way to get it in Thailand? If so , where can I?

TLDR : Answer Summary
To enter Thailand, travelers are required to obtain a Certificate of Entry (COE), which mandates having a medical insurance coverage of at least $100,000, specifically for COVID-19 related expenses. This insurance can be acquired through several Thailand-based companies. Users have recommended various providers such as AXA and Luma Health, noting that applying for policies is typically straightforward, often completed online within minutes. Additionally, a government portal exists to facilitate these insurance purchases, making it accessible for foreigners returning to Thailand. Users also emphasized the importance of insurance documentation explicitly stating the $100,000 coverage, as some travelers faced issues upon arrival without proper certification.

You don't mention 2 very important pieces of info ... your nationality and why you're wanting to come. Your profile doesn't give your nationality, but it does say that you work in Bangkok. If the latter is true, then your company should sort things out.

One company to look at is Luma, it’s a Thai company I think, only 8000 baht gets you 3 months covid cover AND health insurance to the required amounts...

yeh I put the prices above. Very reasonable

the govt created an insurance policy/portal just for foreigners coming in, to meet this requirement. I used it and it's super easy, takes 5 minutes and the price depends on your length of stay. They immediately send you the policy via email on completion of payment.

i already have Asia Care Plus thru Luma, but I bought it pre covid. So, now I am waiting to hear back on if it meets the requirements and they can provide me the letter. I remember them sending a message last spring saying covid was covered but haven't been able to find it anywhere. Hopefully I don't need to waste more money on another insurance.

@Wylie ******
it has to state the fact as 5 people did not get on the plane and 3 were pulled out at bangkok airport and don’t know what happens to them ... my old insurance cover it but would not state the $100,000 cover so I went to company we all use in the village there is a few of us here in village ...

I do understand that, which is why I am trying to get the actually certificate that states that from them now. If I don't get it I will be forced to purchase the coverage elsewhere.

Luma Health is very reasonably priced and meets the requirements for Covid etc. You apply and get your certificate within 5 minutes

That's 100,000 usd to cover medical cost in case you contract Covid-19

Also there are about 12 thailand based companies that offer that insurance
Barry *******
@Tony ********
it does not have to be a Thai based company. There are several international companies on the approved list.
