Your question is confusing, are you wanting a non b(business) visa or a work permit? Non B can be done almost anywhere easily, usually from outside the country is quicker, you then come back and get a work permit, you can get both done inside the country but this takes just over a month, hence the reason people usually fly to a neighbouring country get a non b, fly back and get a work permit

Woah that's cheaper then Bangkok Hospital Chiang Mai, I did the same thing twice a few years ago, however cost was 5000 for a 90 day medical ext on a metv, agreed it's money well spent, no need for boarder runs or flight out of the country, can't remember if the ext was done in house, but left them my passport and picked it up the next day

yes that's correct, try to do a boarder run perhaps a few days before the 6th Feb, you can do it on the 6th but may be a bit risky if something unforseen happen, as if let's say something happens and you leave on the 7th, you will be fined 500thb per day for overstay

I used to have the metv visa a few years ago, you can get about 9 months out of it, leave the country near the valid until date and get 60 days boarder run is fine, then extend at immigration for 30 days so 6 months + 60 + 30 days = about 9 months, and then if you really want to stay longer just fly out and fly in(no boarder run) come in on a exempt(days will depend on your passport) then extend that for 30 days , or another option is to get a medical visa cost about 5000 thb for 90 days

damn that sucks, but it is possible to change setv to work permit, takes up to a month though, however as you know non b to wp is a lot faster, you could try another consulate or embassy, apparently Saigon is pretty quick

@Chris ****
should not be a problem, you just need to make sure you have all the correct paperwork, my non b I had about 50 pages of paperwork, ranging from my work contract, boi invitation, all financials about the company, even passport photocopies of all the directors

Non b you need the usual invitation letter, work contract from your employer, if it's a BOI company, you need an additional approval from the BOI, no need bank statement proof of funds, accom or flights,

yeah they meet you at the air bridge, with a buggy, fast track through immigration , if you have no bags then it's very quick, however if you have bags that need to be picked up at baggage claim, you end up with everyone else
