Hi. I would have a few questions if I may.

Ive got a METV multiple entry tourist visa valid from 7th aug 2019 till 6th feb 2020.

I stay in Phuket near Patong beach with my girlfriend. My entry stamp is valid until 24th oct 2019. (60days)

I heard 2 options from people I can do:

1: go to immigration office and get a 30 days extension for 1900thb

Or

2: do a border run.

How many times can I extend the stay?

If I decide to do a border run my understanding is that I have to go to the airport fly out of Thailand to another country and fly back.

Im not sure how long time i have stay outside Thailand tho?!

Thank u for the answers in advance

Plenty companies do visa runs from phuket up to ranong still a full day and maybe not brilliant on roads then. Alternative take VIP bus up stay the night go over to the casino which is easiest way get some cheap duty frees

I used to have the metv visa a few years ago, you can get about 9 months out of it, leave the country near the valid until date and get 60 days boarder run is fine, then extend at immigration for 30 days so 6 months + 60 + 30 days = about 9 months, and then if you really want to stay longer just fly out and fly in(no boarder run) come in on a exempt(days will depend on your passport) then extend that for 30 days , or another option is to get a medical visa cost about 5000 thb for 90 days

yes that's correct, try to do a boarder run perhaps a few days before the 6th Feb, you can do it on the 6th but may be a bit risky if something unforseen happen, as if let's say something happens and you leave on the 7th, you will be fined 500thb per day for overstay

ok. So i do border run just before every 60 days run out...and and when the daye is close to the 6th feb (my visa's validity date) then i do another border run just to renew another 60 days but i guess i have to be back to Thailand the latest on the 6th feb right? Then 30 days extension as u mentioned. This is clear
