Does anyone else have a Thailand Elite visa? Just landed in Thailand and received mine on arrival at Suvarnabhumi. I was wondering if anyone else can share their experience with the program?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post is a query from a new recipient of the Thailand Elite visa, asking for shared experiences from others. Community responses highlight positive experiences, emphasizing the program's efficiency and benefits such as fast track immigration, less paperwork, and VIP treatment in airports. One down side I was at the airport for an hour trying to get my elite visa...I have some sketchy visas from sketchy countries due to work so I had to talk to the head of immigration at Swampy to get through...after I should them my Work orders they put it in no questions asked..:so if you’re in my predicament be prepared for that
On thing I thought was kinda chicken shit :O was. You're paying all this money for a visa and then some person fills it in by HAND (in shitty handwriting). I mean even the most b/s consulates now do stickers for their visas that are printed

Gonna get one next year. Its a pretty good deal honestly if you think about it especially the 20 years one

Garrett Greenwald pretty much yes the thing that stops many is the fact that is a cash payment only no down payment

The elite visa is a 5-10-20 year visa that doesn't need to be renewed every year and needs no monetary of insurance requirements to join as in the case of the retirement visa. There is also immigration fast track, airport lounge access and some programs have transfer services to and from the airport.

Thanks!

So the fees for 5 or 20 year vary I assume?

Please explain what an elite visa is, as against a retirement visa.☺

keep in mind they are about 4 weeks out now for the background check to come back. That's the only thing that holds it up
AND
Keep in mind you CANNOT have any overstay stamps in your passport

My favorite part was there was very little paperwork involved. Just send them their money and they leave you the fuck alone.

I am planning to get one before I retire in the summer of 2020. Yes, I could get a retirement visa, but even it comes with hassles. I'd have to take an expensive trip back to the US from the Middle East, where I currently live, to apply for the retirement visa. The Elite visa I can do online. Plus, it will likely "grandfather" me in despite ongoing changes to visa policy. The VIP treatment is also attractive.

What happens after 5 years? Another 500k?
George *******
500k baht only? Thats not so bad!

How much does the 5 year visa cost? Any requirements for age or anything?

I will probably buy the 5 year visa. After that, I will probably move to another country. I see myself as a retirement nomad at this point.

I was seriously considering the 1MM thb program for 20yrs. It does look like the best offering.
yes totally correct, the PE visa can be obtained anywhere, even inside Thailand, the 20 year for 1 million is definitely the best value at the moment

I'll just relate a story here. A good friend of mine works for an IT company in the US but he chooses to live here. He's not married to a thai, not over 50, doesn't have a company here, so it limited him visa/extension wise
He travels a lot and burned thru METV's, SETV's, ED visas/extension etc. Every time he stamped into the country he was treated like a criminal :O The officer at passport control thumbed thru his passport page by page making unhappy sounds at all the stamps they'd see in it and then finally stamping him in.
He bought the 500K baht 5 year elite visa and he told me IF he knew he was going to go from being treated like a criminal to being treated like a VIP when he stamped in and out of the country he'd have bought the Elite visa YEARS ago.
He uses the 24 p/u deliveries a year, the Elite Lounge, the fast track immigrations, their 90 day reporting service. Everything. he said it's like night and day dealing with those wing-nut, passport stamping goof-balls at the airport comin' in on the Elite visa.
it’s ok they get clingy though...I usually Dutch them after I’m stamped in...the fast track is the best I use it to come and go, the best part is if you forget to email them prior to your departure/arrival you still get the fast track
yeah they meet you at the air bridge, with a buggy, fast track through immigration , if you have no bags then it's very quick, however if you have bags that need to be picked up at baggage claim, you end up with everyone else
you can't BUY it any more but the people who did have it can still use it

It is a GREAT program,
I know probably 10 - 15 people who have it in one form or another.
Some have the old "lifetime" ones, others have the 5 year, some have the 20 year.
Not a single person I know of has anything bad to say about the program or the way it's run.
They do exactly what they say they will..

It will be interesting to see where this company heads in this year or into the beginning of next year..., some changes are underway 🙂

Everyone wants to know everything huh? Is it difficult not knowing everything, or more difficult knowing someone knows something (more) that you don’t? Sorry. Knowledge is power 🙂 Have a great day.

Garrett Greenwald no idea your guess is as good as much mine

Garrett Greenwald one of my neighbours(Thai) both work for the government, education and police/immigration, they seem to be some kinda power couple lol, never really see them as they are never home, but he knows of the elite department, he calls it the thaksin money spinner, said it will always stay and just making it more accessible/easy and that's literally it lol
Mint ****
From the grape vine it's being changed once again to be more accessible to people, just adding more packages, same like they did last year, they added the 20 year option for 1 million, it's the same but without all the bells and whistles, currently the 20 year 1 million is the best value,

A little more info would be useful, or is this just bait?
