Non immigrant B in HK, I assume this is a very straight forward process that doesn’t require bank statements, and the 3 proofs for immigration upon returning, or does it?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The process for obtaining a Non-Immigrant B visa in Hong Kong is generally straightforward. Bank statements or proof of funds are not required. The main requirements include an invitation letter from your employer and a work contract. If employed by a BOI approved company, additional BOI approval is necessary. There are concerns regarding stricter visa rules due to increased security measures, particularly related to one-year visas, which may result in reduced approval rates. It is advised to confirm current requirements with the Thai embassy before applying.

I’m going on to HK on Tuesday. My employers letter is asking for a 12 month multiple entry non b. I’d read the below on the Siam legal website, and although it says UK are these “stricter rules” across the board? In the visa application it states you will not request any refund from my paid visa even if my application is denied. So with this if 12 months is denied and a 90 day single entry is given instead, am I then paying for both essentially? Maybe daft questions but better to be sure, be sure 🤷🏻‍♂️

“New increased security measures have resulted in stricter rules regarding One-Year Thai visa application processing. The issuance of One-year non-immigrant visas are now subject to these stricter rules implemented by the Thai embassy or consulate in the UK. As a result, we have seen significant decline in the success of applications under this visa category.

Please note that it is at the discretion of the Thai embassy or consulate official to issue the One-year non-immigrant visa, or as an alternative a 90-day non immigrant visa is issued in lieu of One-year visa. Some cases may arise depending on the opinion and discretion of the particular official in processing your visa application.

We therefore advise that before you make any payment, kindly check first with any of the Thai embassy or consulate in the UK to validate if approval or issuance of the visa under this category is now viable.”

@Chris ****
should not be a problem, you just need to make sure you have all the correct paperwork, my non b I had about 50 pages of paperwork, ranging from my work contract, boi invitation, all financials about the company, even passport photocopies of all the directors
Mint ****
Non b you need the usual invitation letter, work contract from your employer, if it's a BOI company, you need an additional approval from the BOI, no need bank statement proof of funds, accom or flights,
