Marty Pollard yes, but in the few interactions that don't go well, to avoid a fine or tea money, you won't have the receipt! ... I was caught in a viscous circle in Phuket where they would not recognise my landlady/building manager authority to file the tm30, and I had to basically race to the airport from Immigration to avoid overstay leaving my possessions behind. My advice, start the extension process at least a week early

its arguable, in SOME offices you can file a TM28, others may want a TM30, and yeah the landlords is certainly a TM30

far easier and better to apply in your home country, managed correctly you get 2 years out of an O-A issued in your country
