yeah, the whole thing about transport and being more or less close to a more “urban” area (or a capital city, however you want to call it) is definitely an important point. 🧐
Especially when it comes to paperwork, or in my case, vets, hospitals... those are things you have to factor in besides just the price. You might save money in one place, but by the end of the month or year, after all the trips, you’ve probably ended up spending more. You have to look at the full picture.
i’m sure there are thousands of cases out there, but I really appreciate your comment—it gives me hope that if you do things right and have the proper paperwork, they don’t put obstacles in the way. Seems like people love to highlight the bad stuff, and then when you try to find accurate and real info, it gets tricky. 😊
, i didn’t know about Hua Hin, so I’m going to check it out. I’ve only been looking into all this for 2 or 3 weeks, and if it weren’t for people like you, who are already there or know the area well, it’d be hard to find good info online.
My idea—good or bad, I don’t know yet—is to move to the Pattaya or Rayong area, though I haven’t decided for sure. The reason is exactly what you mentioned: I’ve heard that pets aren’t very welcome in condos, so I’d rather go for a beach area with the intention of renting a villa—just enough so they can be outside and enjoy at least a small garden.
I know that you can find condos in good condition for around 15,000฿, but of course, if the chances of finding one that allows pets are low, then I’ll have to go for a house, like you said. I imagine the prices would be around 40,000฿.
