You will need to have your marriage recognised in Thailand, visit your Amphur office for what they need to create a Thai certificate and Kor ror 2.

Thai immigration will want a Thai certificate and Kor ror 2 plus a boat load of other documents to grant your extension

I got my yellow book before we where married it's not about marriage it is confirmation of residence in Thailand

*Letter from immigration

*Two government employees witnesses

*Head of household in blue book had to be present

I should also add I was the first person the administrator had ever issued one for, thus he got the book out literally

I entered 5 times visa exempt via BKK from late 2018 to August 2019 each with at least a month in between and each time with a return ticket. Never got asked a question from immigration, my final and 6th entry in October 2019 was on a one way ticket and a visa in my passport.

I'm still here and married please send a rescue team😂

I'm no expert by my understanding is if the marriage was to end or she was to pass away you can no longer extend on marriage. You can extend on retirement assuming over fifty by parking 800K you only need insurance if it's OA on retirement

Yes a certified copy of your passport is required, the Australian embassy supplied one with the 'no impedance to marry' letter

I've only ever dealt with small quiet offices in rural Thailand, much better than the big busy ones from what I can gather
