The reason she was denied is because she didn't show enough proof she will return to Thailand. If the embassy tells you the exact reason then everyone would know how to game the visa system.
You mentioned girlfriend so I am assuming it is a tourist visa. Does she own anything (car, real estate) and have a full time job? If she has a full time job most likely she cannot stay more than lets say 10 days which would be the maximum she would be allowed if she has employment? How many days did she say she will stay? Did she ever travel overseas before? If she was denied then the embassy employee didn't see a strong reason for her to come back. If you spill the details of her finances and employment situation plus prior overseas travel I am sure we can point out some reasons she was denied.
I do have an open mind. After living here for 12yrs the novelty is gone. Perception changes. There are just betrer options for a visa run. Maybe if I was still new to SE asia I would have a more positive opinion.
Laos is boring AF. Vientianne is shit and nothjing to do or see. I have been there for visa runs and hated the place. I would also not go there if the visa was 60 bucks. It is shit and not worth it. I would think thats what the OP meant
definitately agree w this. Sone nationalities are easier than others. Thailand is not the easiest overall. I think Cambodia and Philipines are the 2 easiest visa wise. Vietnam if you are american was also a good choice a few years ago but things may have changed since. I am not updated on Malaysia and Indonesia.
