yea it's a pain but you have to do it if you want the remaining 30 days. You also technically lost over 20 days of your visa exempt status as well. 😞

you need to go back on that date to the same office to get another 30 days. I'm really surprised they didn't tell you to get the regular 30 day extension which would've been added to the end of your current visa exempt date.

@Ellie ******
thank you and one more quick question, do you know how many days in advance one can apply

@Ellie ******
is it the same location for a 60 day tourist visa?

I don't think OP is closing the consideration loop, but rather adjusting the date until Nov 30th. She probably closed the loop before the announcement.

aside from one or two rogue immigration offices, the adjustment to Nov 30th should be fairly quick and easy. I would take care of it this coming week since most offices don't seem to be too busy right now. Things will definitely start picking up as the date draws closer to the 31st.

I would wait it out a bit, there's still plenty of time. :)

Khon Kaen is my local immigration office as well so happy to hear this. :)

Personally, if I already did the consideration follow-up, I would wait until I hear confirmed reports of people getting the Nov 30 extension before attempting to go to immigration again. It might take a few days for all the offices to get on board. Plus its only Oct 1st for goodness sake, LOL.
