Do I need to go to the immigration office to extend my tourist visa until November 30th?
Hi, I have a tourist visa and extension stamp with an embassy letter till Oct 25th. Do I HAVE to go to immigration office to get a stamp till Nov 30th? I have US passport.
Also is there any new information on extending the amnesty?

Dont know if it means anything, but when i went in with my โunder considerationโ (for October 26th) amnesty extension, I was delighted to find out they didnt charge me a dime to extend it to November ๐

If you used an embassy letter and got an "under consideration" stamp telling you to go back to the immigration office on xx date DO IT.
If you used am embassy letter, got the under consideration stamp, went back to the immigration office and have your "extension of stay" stamp that is dated until Oct 26th, you can go back to the immigration office and they will move the stamp to Nov 30.

It depends. *IF* you used the embassy letter, your extension of stay is valid until November 30. IF you did not use the embassy letter, it's valid until October 31.

They specifically stated there will be no more free time amnesty extensions and going forward (from the date this last amnesty expires Oct 31st) they will SELL 60 day extensions for 1900baht to people.
At this time not much info is available about the requirements, with some offices saying you don't need an embassy letter, and some saying you do.
I'd say when you go back to get your current stamp adjusted to Nov 30, ask them how to get the 60 day extension..

aside from one or two rogue immigration offices, the adjustment to Nov 30th should be fairly quick and easy. I would take care of it this coming week since most offices don't seem to be too busy right now. Things will definitely start picking up as the date draws closer to the 31st.

I don't think OP is closing the consideration loop, but rather adjusting the date until Nov 30th. She probably closed the loop before the announcement. Eva *******

but most places are telling people to come back later if they return Before the date that is stated under consideration. As far a si can gather from here and people who went to immigration in Samui

of course they specifically stated on ALL the previous amnesties they have issued that they wouldn't extend it and right now we're on the FOURTH amnesty extension :/ Tod *********
I think you mean you came in on a tourist visa back before they had the lock down in March :/ Right now you're not here on any visa anymore. You used the embassy letter to get a 30 day extension, AND if you have it dated until Oct 25 and because of amnesty you can stay until Oct 31st
BUT
if you want to stay until Nov 30, you need to go back to the immigration office that gave you that stamp and they will adjust it for you.
