Same boat here but I cant see us , uk , getting flights to bkk any time soon , then u have the cv19 ins.

I have ins. And I've been told I'm covered on it as it was take out before the virus hit the head lines , not sure the thai immigration will allow me in with it tho as it's not a test taken 72 hrs prior to landing... ???

On the old system I got a 1 yr visa for 15 yes no problems at all.

As I dont fully understand the new system , I've no idea how to get even a 6 month visa once a yr. It's all I need.

My advice is never take ur wife to the uk. I did it twice , married twice ... nightmare.

Living in Thailand as u have a wife is easier , not saying easy but easier to get a visa.

Alternate is 6 in Thailand , 6 in uk. And go for a 6 month tourist visa.

Yes u need to show hull proof.

I'm from hull .... been many times to embassy , they need to check it before they give u a visa.
