TLDR : Answer Summary
The post highlights issues faced by an individual trying to apply for a Non-O 90-day multi-entry visa online in the UK, as it's not listed. Responses clarify that the UK no longer issues multiple-entry Non-O visas and emphasize the current limitations of the online application system. Suggestions include applying for a single-entry version instead, and considerations for financial proof, with some recommending a walk-in option at the Hull consulate.

With using the on line application in London, you have four options to get a visa as being over 50 years of age

Or the Non Immigrant O-A visa, 1 year multiple entry

Or the Non Immigrant O-X visa, 10 year multiple entry

Or the Non Immigrant O visa valid for 3 months and Single Entry.

All three could be used as bases to apply for the Extension of Stay inside Thailand if you might to decide to stay longer.

And the Thai Elite Visa for 5,10 or 20 years.

I think that is more then enough choices for you and it is definitely a way to show that foreigners over 50 years of age are welcome to spend their time inside Thailand.

I said it many times and I will keep on saying it: If you think or have the feeling you're not welcome in Thailand, feel free to move to a place where you think you are welcome. And as you do not need Thai visa advice for that country, I will waive you good bye on the exit of this group.

one last word . . in Hull consulate you can still do a walk-in and hand over the documents they need. This would spare you from the online application process of the London Embassy.
Ron *******
You can walk in and deliver the documents. There is no postal service whatsoever to or from UK consulates. You can email the documents to them for pre approval and wait for them to call you to the consulate to deliver the documents and get the visa.

okay. .. yet he fullfills all the requirements. He has a problem with the e-visa online application. So HULL is the best option for an analog walk-in (analog versus digital!)

unlikely to get any visa at any consulate on the day apart from a tourist visa. Non Immigrant visas still need approval from London.

do you have money 800K plus in a thai bank account? you can get a conversion from a 30 day visa exempt entry or a tourist visa, to a Non-Imm-O based on retirement, on your local immigration. SOME immigrations will be willing to do it . you have got to ask
Gregor **********
with this visa. aftrentry in Thailand you can apply for the Extension of Stay based on retirement (often referred to as "retirement visa")
Gregor **********
to get a Non-Imm-O normally people have to apply for it on a Thai Embassy or consulate in their home country. yours is the UK, so your only choice is to apply for a 90 days Non-Imm-O Single Entry
Gregor **********
in order to request for the "1-year extension of stay permit based on retirement" you need to change your visa status to a Non-O status, which will allow you to apply for said extension
Gregor **********
okay, but do you have a Thai bank account and do you have combined income of more than 65,000 THB per month?

Sad I don’t have that amount in bank
Gregor **********
are you over 50 years of age? Then the Non-Imm-O based on retirement would be a way, if you have got the financial proof. I see, that was your original question
Darren ******
What is the financial proof for over 50s pls.

Thanks guys for all your advice one for the road can you add private pensions to state pension to =65K a month
Gregor **********
and since the British Embassy does not issue income affidavits any more, you have to prove 12 months of incoming money from a foreign source by your Thai bank letter - "source" which can be whatever it is, according to the police order - which does not make any difference between income of state pensions or other income.

Only the regularily incoming total counts
Gregor **********
as long as you can proove the money, be it pensions or other income, comes from abroad to your Thai Bank account, the answer is yes. Only the bank book of ypur Thai bank account and their letter is accepted proof

I just proof-checked the "e-visa" website for UK citizens . . I am struck surprised for not being able to find "retirement reason" on the site dedicated to the Non-O visa. And no mention of a Single Entry Non-O 90 days visa at all.
@Tim *******
is right. Only the site leading to "longstay" Non- O/A visa mentions "retirement" for reason
Ron *******
Multiple entry Non Immigrant visas haven't been issued in the UK since the 25th June 2019
Gregor **********
that's so maybe he should delete all cookies and restart his computer. Then start the whole damn thing again! 😆
Paul **********
Ahh. Once you've chosen tourist visa on the drop down box its reluctant to give any more options after that , even if you delete it all and start again.
Gregor **********
only single entries 90 days by London
Gregor **********
no, London cancelled the Multi Entry Non-O's some time ago. And with London being an "embassy", they override consulates
Paul **********
Yeah i got the same on the london site , in the end decided to to do hull instead , single entry non imm o visa. The hull site says you can only get multiple entries by going through the London embassy.
Gregor **********
guess you have to start it over again and choose NOT tourist purpose

I guess the OP is following you & me
Gregor **********
OK . . thank you,
@Ron ******
Ron *******
You select below for a single entry Non O visa for retirement.
Gregor **********
ok I am gonna try it again. But WOW!!! what a big rock to move out of the way for any newcomers who'd like to make Thailand their retirement haven. The mind boggles!
Gregor **********
i was exactly to this very same site. It does not state retirement reason
Ron *******
@Gregor *********
that's because you select a reason to visit and not look to select visas.

If people took the trouble to read the manual, rather than charging into the system, they wouldn't have these problems
Ron *******
They don't issue multiple entry Non Immigrant Visas in the UK any longer.

Infact, you don't even choose a visa. You choose a purpose to visit. The system selects the correct visa BUT it will only be single entry.
