very very smart policy, considering the fact that they're looking for affluent investors and wealthy expats. What can one say? They continue to astound with their lack do vision and smarts.

We tried to get a visa before we got married and it was impossible. As soon as we got married we got an interview, all they asked to see was my original passport, they studied it for 5 minutes, saw multiple stamps of trips back and forth, they gave her a nice smile and said things look. Give us two weeks, and she had a 10-year multiple entry visa after that.

sure. Always a risk. Living in Thailand makes it affordable to take that risk, rather than be a slave to silly mafia price hikes.

Two words. Self insure. Save a fortune. Avoid the insurance mafia. Just say NO!

Always inspect the visa at both immigration, and at the airport. Always.

I ignore ignorant laws. Willfully. Never had an issue. Just a couple of days ago had a Thai cop tell me Thai ID is always enough.

Why would anyone risk carrying their original passport? Not happening.
