If you only need 2 months, you can possibly extend 60 days on your current visa available based on marriage for 1900B. You need to check with your local immgration office what's needed. Using the TM7 form. Cheaper than travelling to another country.
As stated certificate of residence. Can't be done online. What your friend appears to refer to is TM30, not the same. Suggest check with the Driving centre what documents you need, as it differs to each province.
Just to add to Tod's comprehensive list. All things copied relating to your wife need to be signed by her. And yes Monday is busy, as you get there Sunday, arrive at consulate before 7.30, opens at 9.30am. And as you are staying Wednesday not rush and queue Tues 1pm, wait until everyone has got theirs and pick up before 4pm. And get form before you queue print at the hotel or somewhere on the Sunday or pick up the shop opposite early. Form needs to be 1 sheet though printed front and back (duplex).
Sebastian Johansson yes 1st page and the page with the wife's name. Need the missus to sign the house book copies and sign her ID copy. All very simple did it last week. Advise against going on a Monday, busy with agent runs. FYI I didn't copy my Laos visa and entry stamp, and they didn't ask for it. But there is a copy shop opposite the Consulate, if you want to play safe.
yes but he wanted to visit Laos anyway so those costs were fixed. Just telling him to save some beer money not buying a reentry stamp and go visa exempt.
Cheaper to go to Laos after day 30 and then return on a 30 day free VIP exempt with you UK passport than pay 1000B. (if you don't have 2 land border exempt already). So you still get 60 days. You then can extend the exempt too.
