Heard that nowadays it's not easy to walk into Thai Embassy (say in Vientiane) and get a visa. Is that true? Are there any nearby Thai Embassies that accept walk-in requests?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, it is true that you cannot walk into the Thai Embassy in Vientiane without an appointment. Currently, Vientiane requires an online appointment for visa applications. However, other Thai consulates in the region, such as in Savannakhet, do still accept walk-in requests. It is important to note that recently, Vientiane, Singapore, and Kuala Lumpur are the only consulates in the area that mandate appointments for visa applications.

All the thai consulates EXCEPT Vientiane Lao, Singapore, & Kuala Lumpur allow walk inz. Those are the only three in the area that require appointments.

If you only need 2 months, you can possibly extend 60 days on your current visa available based on marriage for 1900B. You need to check with your local immgration office what's needed. Using the TM7 form. Cheaper than travelling to another country.

I stayed with a yearly marriage visa till July (legal good marriage), got another visa for 3 months. I'm thinking if it's possible to get one more for 3 months and fly away back home. Or, maybe just to fly out and it and get a monthly visa which can be prolonged for another month and fly home after.
