sure was not quite clear of all the requirements needed to be met or just one requirement to be declared a wealthy individual. The 500k invested in Thailand would be a challenge.
Did you do FBI check or local? When I was adopting I wrote down a disorderly conduct charge. There was absolutely no record of it anywhere. Took me more effort to explain why there was no record of it, I had to get affidavits from city and state saying they could not find a criminal record. Moral of the story don't disclose frivolous stuff, especially if you had no conviction on a misdemeanor 🤣.
For 90 days you can just buy an annual travel insurance. But, I don't know at your age it might be expensive. My yearly travel insurance is $138 USD. That gives me 45 days of travel. The premium plan would give me 90 days at $400 USD. I also have credit cards insurance. Plus my medical insurance will cover world wide. I am speaking from the standpoint of a vacation traveler.
now that I think about it only time I've ever been questioned on entry is when I made a trip to Malaysia just for a few days. At DMK I was grilled hard, and truly I was just a short time tourist, not even 10 days in Thailand. They wanted to verify hotel address and how long stay in hotel. This had nothing to do with a visa trip. I was purely visa exempt short stay.
hence the original question NET or GROSS. One day when you get that kind of money you will understand you want to have as little money per year as possible. Talk with a wealth manager you will understand. We are trying to be as poor as possible each year. At least that is my goal.
ah , ok, you have not been. No, please no motobike! I do have motor cycle license and have taken training. Even then it's still crazy riding. I like a motobike just in town, because it's easy to park and move through traffic. I'll drive the car to play golf. As far as the taxi ask around what the fare should be. For example going from BKK to Sukamvit with meter is around 260 baht + luggage+ tolls. Or driver might say 400 to 500 baht flat. That's not bad. Figure $12.to $15 for a half hour ride through tolls at 1 am, I would not argue. We had a work colleague that was stabbed to death over like 50 baht, as he tried to escape without paying his fare.
