Hi all was wondering about car insurance, I know we get the thing we put on the screen but exactly what does it cover. Is it just 3rd party and is there sensable system for covering your own vehicle?

I have applied for LTR visa under pensioners category. The folks at Thai Board of Investment are unwilling to accept balance in the money market fund with Fidelity and asking me to provide proof of Thai insurance with minimum coverage of $50K. I am seeking your suggestion for the cheapest health insurance provider acceptabtle for visa purpose. I am looking for the cheapest one as my current insurance coverage will continue indefinitely and I don’t want to pay for expensive coverage when I already have one.

Also if I get the coverage, can it be from a future date as I don’t plan to move to Thailand until November. Those who have got OA visa from US may know this as they may have obtained health insurance. Thank you all!
