I am 55 and preparing to move to Thailand in a few months on a retirement visa and I have a school age child. (14 yrs old) From what I have been reading my child would need an ED visa and attend Thai school for long term stay which is very pricey. Also when she turns 20 she would have to leave unless she had a DTV or education Visa which she would not be able to do obtain. What would be our other options besides leaving her in the states with family?

Spouse already received 1 year Non-O Retirement Visa inside Thailand.

Do I need to show 800k/400k baht if I want to apply Non-O Dependant Visa based on spouse's Retirement Visa?

No need for the applicant of Dependant Visa, am I correct?

Planned location to apply : probably Thai Embassy in Penang. If other neighbouring cities allowed, I don't mind considering.

Thank you.

My son entered Thailand on a 90 day Non O dependant visa and we converted it to a 1 year (single entry) visa within the country. Now we are traveling out of Thailand and the company HR has informed us that we don't need to apply for a rentry permit as the first entry is included in the visa.

This seems contrary to what I have read here and would be helpful if someone could clarify it. Also is rentry permit application possible at Don muang Airport? Thanks

Good afternoon all! If someone has a work visa and is sponsored by a company, can that persons spouse and kids apply for a visa under that work visa?

Hi All

I am awaiting a job confirmation. Should this be successful:

My current exempt stamp (including my family's) expires on the 15th. If I get my Non B, what should I do for my family?

We have one land border bounce left which may be extended. That allows my family two months in The Kingdom. I am told that they can only transfer their stamp to a Non O Dependant Visa at immigration after three months of me having my Non B.

Should I rather ask immigration if they can make an exception to do the transfer sooner?

Thank you so much for your assistance🙏
