About to book my 10-day Alternative Quarantine package for Phuket. Thai Airways airport office in Australia just emailed me saying passengers who are unvaccinated cannot fly into Phuket & that you will only be allowed the 10-day Alternate Quarantine in Bangkok. Is this correct? The Thailand Pass lists AQ Hotels in Phuket, so now Iā€™m a little confused. Hereā€™s the email:

ā€œThe Thai Airways airport office have advised, passengers cannot be unvaccinated to go to Sandbox Phuket. You will only be allowed Alternate quarantine in Bangkok 10 days.ā€

Does anyone have any direct links for AQ hotels in Thailand that offer the whole 10-day quarantine package (PCR tests to your hotel included etc)? If Iā€™m doing quarantine for 10 days, how can I do a PCR test if I canā€™t leave my hotel room? The Thailand Pass website gives AQ hotel suggestions, but when I go to those hotels websites, thereā€™s no mention of PCR tests provided. Agoda is the same. Iā€™ve heard some hotels provide all these services. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Bare in mind Iā€™m doing Alternative Quarantine, not Test & Go or Sandbox. This is the unvaccinated option. Thanks.

Hello everyone, just searching for an advice.

I am trying to book an AQ hotel (for Thailand Pass 1 night, PCR, airport pick up) for a couple but I've find it rather confusing. Especially when it comes to specify what is included and not.

Could anyone recommend me a AQ hotel in Bangkok that does the Test & Go package (PCR, Airport pick up and 1 hotel night), that is trustable, reliable and preferably fully cancellable until the last day (Omicron is around and I don't trust governments at all)?

Thank you very much in advance!

This is how my PCR test went over at my AQ hotel (The Green View in Bangkok/Samut Prakan):

At 1:30PM I checked into my hotel and was immediately directed to their swabbing station, which was just a little table outside with a nurse and covid kits. She asked for my passport and then made me check that my name was correct on the vial. She swabbed one nostril and my mouth and told me my results would come in at 1AM. I went up to the hotel room right afterwards. I did not hear anything after that - I actually called reception the next morning at 10AM because I had no clue if I was good to go or not. I was. When I checked out they gave me an envelope with the test inside - it said my sample was received at 7:23PM and tested 7:34PM - as well as a rapid testing kit. So in sum: test was administered at 1:30PM, received at lab at 7:23PM, and tested at 7:34PM. I do not know how long it took to get back to the hotel, but I imagine it couldn't have taken more than a few hours.
