Re the retirement visa , my understanding is this visa requires renewal every year ? And obviously meeting the same requirements every year.

What about people who live in Thailand permanently in retirement, do you go through this process every year ? Or do you apply for citizenship after a certain amount of years ?

And during your first few years is it a requirement to report your address every 90 days in practice?

Lots of questions I know , any info greatly appreciated.

I have two questions and I apologize if redundant with past questions.

#1 I just received a new passport and my 90-day reporting is due. I know I need to do that in person with a new passport and I assume I need to get the Visa stamps moved into the new passport first. Is that correct?

#2 My annual Visa is up for renewal on December 11th. Is it possible for me to go next week to move the stamps and get the Visa for next year at the same time? That's 26 days before it expires. I know there is a limited window as to how far in advance you can renew. Please advise. Thank you!

With all the uncertainly with immigration rules, I would it be possible to go to your home country once a year and get a new O-A visa instead of going to immigration in Thailand? We still have to have the equivalent 800K THB in my home country bank. I was just thinking of having a Thai bank account for my spending money and get my O-A in my home country. Exchange rate is low now
