TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation centers around concerns regarding making a border run to Poipet from Prachin Buri. Multiple comments warn that Poipet is known for being a difficult and potentially corrupt border crossing, suggesting that there may not be agents available to handle passports as traditionally expected. Alternatives like Pong Nam Ron and Ban Chong Mek are recommended instead due to their quieter and more reliable processing.

Even if you buy a cam visa as you cross, make sure they stamp you in as well. It cost me $us200 as they sold me the visa, decided my USD payment could be counterfeit, and demanded Thai baht, then put the visa in my passport but didn't stamp me in. When I went to cross back next day, they threatened to arrest me for being illegal. They wanted $400usd but bargained it down to $200 to get an exit stamp. Avoid Poipet

Dont think there is any agent there now, poi pet is the worst place to do visa ran. Even agents avoid it now. (the cam side might not stamp you out if you do not stay for 1 day in cam.)

Have you been through Poipet before? Know to be quiet strict and difficult.
